Things are about to change forever...

Welcome to our little blog. We wanted to create a place where we could share our experiences with our close friends and family about our Journey to Ghana, and how we came to know the newest members of our family. Jenny and I have two years of experiences that have led up to this point, but we will not share them at this time, so to put it simply God has prepared us, and made it very clear that he has prepared two choice spirits to come to our family. Without going to too much detail in this entry, I just want to say that I know that we have a Father in Heaven, who loves us, and loves ALL his children. God through his Holy Spirit has touched my heart in a very sacred way, and has let me know what his will is for the two of us and our family. I am grateful for close friends, who had the courage to approach us and share what the spirit was telling them to do. I have learned that God will put good people in our path in life to help accomplish his will. That is why it is important to surround yourself with good friends and good people who will make you your “Best Self”.  Jenny and I just found out today that we have our court date next week, Thursday or Friday. We will be boarding a plane in about 4-5 days and flying half way around the world to meet the children God has chosen to bring into our lives. Talk about a ton of mixed emotions. I am Excited, Scared, Happy, Concerned, Grateful, Worried, and even feel very Unworthy for the trust the God has put in us to raise two more of his children.  I am excited to finally meet our little Delight (11) and Courage (8).  For a Short time we will have a child at the age of 8,9,10,11,and 12.  Our little family is growing, and we are so excited to see what experiences the Lord has planned for us.

I would like to place a disclaimer that I am not a professional Blogger, and my spelling and grammar leave a little to be desired. (Must be that Caldwell education I received.)  I am not as eloquent as my friend Jason (for those who have been following his blog) but I would like to share our feelings not only so you all can know and feel what we are feeling, but also so that these two special kids will have something to look back on and know how involved God has been in placing them with a family who loves them and will be the forever family they have been praying for.  Jenny or I will try to make at least one daily trip log while we are gone, (if we can get a connection on the internet. J )  If you have this Blog address it is because we love you and want you to be part of this experience.  Feel free to comment or leave ideas as you feel would be appropriate.  So here we go, put on your seatbelt and get ready for the ride of a lifetime.
